The Boys & Girls Clubs of Monmouth County

In cooperation with the Center for Advancement of Science and Space, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Monmouth County recently sent their Club kids on a virtual mission to the International Space Station (ISS)! This 8-week program introduced Club kids to space science, where they learned about Earth observation, the space station lab, and the daily challenges and rewards of life as an astronaut on the ISS. This program took place in their Innovation Lab where Club kids learn about video production and STEM training, including the use of green screen technology, 3D printing, audio and video editing software, and the use of a SMART board. BGCM was introduced to the Center for Advancement of Science and Space by an Asbury alum, Dr. Phil Schein, who is chairman of the board of the ISS National Lab.
