Wall of Greatness
Miles Austin
Since entering the NFL in 2006 Miles Austin has blossomed from an unknown special teams player to one of the leading wide receivers in the league. After earning a starting wide receiver position in the Cowboy’s line up following the club record 250-yard performance in Kansas City in 2009, Miles has become a team leader and role model to many. Two Pro-Bowl Selections and Sports Illustrated covers later he continues to strive for greatness in every aspect of his life.
Giving back and showing thanks are two areas that Miles puts an equal amount of effort as when he is on the football field. Whether in his home town of Garfield, NJ or while participating in local charity events in Dallas, TX, Miles sincerely enjoys reaching out to youth and making them aware of their potential and the importance of healthy decision making. Through the Austin Family Foundation Miles envisioned a way to support and promote youth programming in lower income areas. Two organizations that mean a great deal to Miles are the Boys & Girls Club of Garfield and the Lindsey Meyer Tee Institute. Both organizations helped Miles make positive decisions that led him down the right path. Miles wants to help these organizations to be able to continue to make a difference in the lives of youth.
