Chicago, was the featured performer at the 11th Annual Concert for Kids on Thursday, November 7, 2013 at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark. The Concert for Kids is the annual fundraiser benefitting the 23 local Boys & Girls Club organizations in New Jersey. The proceeds from the concert support afterschool and summer programs for youth in need across the state.
Joe Piscopo kicked off the night as Master of Ceremonies and was followed by BGCNJ CEO, Susan Hall. Highlighting the value of investing in our youth, Ijataque “Tay” McClain, 2013 New Jersey Youth of the Year discussed her experience as a Club member at Boys & Girls Clubs in Monmouth County. Chicago performed their hits, to a full house of sponsors, honored guests, club members and the general public.
